In for a change...

Back in December, Mark interviewed with Intel in Folsom, California. He received a job offer and after heavy consideration, we decided to make the move to California. We are excited and nervous to make such a large move but we're confident this is going to be a wonderful adventure in our lives! We've always lived in the Chicago area and thought what better opportunity to travel and experience life than moving. The kids are also nervous and excited and have been wonderful through the whole process.

Mark and I took a trip out to California in January and found a wonderful house for our family. It's a brand new Tuscan-style house and solar powered! The kids are excited to get their own rooms! It has a beautiful view of the mountains from the master bedroom that we're so excited to see every morning!

We hope you'll join us in our journey as we take this wonderful adventure!

Cloth Diapering

I became interested in cloth diapering awhile back now, but never actually took any steps towards doing it.  I always thought the diaper covers were just too cute and honestly, how bad can baby poop be?  I mean, I *AM* an ICU nurse!  So back when my father passed away in March, my cousin, Erin, told me she cloth diapered.  It got me interested.  In April, I started emailing her, looking for information on it.  I decided to just take the plunge and start.  Mark was hesitant but was OK with it, but seemed to be more interested in ME doing the poopy diapers, which is fine with me.  ;)

Destin, Florida

We took our 1st road trip as a complete family to Destin, Florida during the kids' 2011 spring break.  It was a 17hr drive down, broken up over 2 days.  We rented a townhouse on the Gulf of Mexico.  It was beautiful blue water, and great to let the kids go out on the beach while we were able to sit on the deck.  The weather didn't cooperate too much, but the 2 days it did, Jacob and Emma were able to boogie board and were awesome at it!

Alison was not a huge fan of the beach but did allow us to take a few pictures of her with her big brother and sister in the sand.
